چکیده

Hunger for energy consumption is booming due to industrialization and globalization causes the of fossil fuel resources searching unconventional fuels. Among all other available fuels, biodiesel has achieved significant considerations globally. The present research catering production from eucalyptus species as forest waste using fast pyrolysis. derived was tested its various physical chemical properties standard test methods (IS 1448, ASTM D 4868). major are similar existing diesel fuel. obtained having a cetane number 54, kinematic viscosity 5.83 cSt, calorific value 7,850 kcal/kg. in fixed compression ratio engine. variable parameters were blending engine load. gave best performance at B100 with full load highest 33.57% BTE, 0.31 kg/KWhr lowest SFC, minimum ignition delay. Its emission characteristics also follow current exhaust gas norms per BS6 India. NOx 235 ppm B100, hydrocarbon 0.038 g/KWhr least CO 2.85 observed pure (B100). Thus, can be used CI an alternative source energy.

Experimental Analysis on Engine Performance and Emission Characteristics Using Biodiesel Obtained from Non-Edible Oil

There are concerns that biodiesel feedstock may compete with food supply in the long term, if the raw materials are vegetable virgin oils only. Therefore, throughout the world, large amounts of non-edible oil plants are available in nature. In this paper, experimental study has been carried out to analyze engine performance and emission characteristics for direct injection diesel engine using b...

Characteristics of carbonyl compounds emission from a diesel-engine using biodiesel–ethanol–diesel as fuel

Characteristics of carbonyl compounds (carbonyls) emissions from biodiesel–ethanol–diesel (BE–diesel) were investigated in a Commins-4B diesel engine and compared with those from fossil diesel. Acetaldehyde was the most abundant carbonyls in the exhaust, followed by formaldehyde, acetone, propionaldehyde and benzaldehyde. Apliphatic carbonyls emitted from BE–diesel were higher than those from d...

Emission Performance of a Diesel Engine Running on Biodiesel Fuel at Different Compression Ratios

In the present study emission performance of a diesel engine (Lister Petter) was evaluated at different compression ratios and engine loads with soybean methyl ester and its 25%, 50%, 75% blends with diesel fuel at constant speed 1500 rpm. Exhaust emissions included CO, CO2, HC and NOx. The compression ratio and engine load varied from 14 to 20 with an interval 1 and 25 to...
